| Just found a Delco 10 tuber console Model 1110, 4-bander dual speaker cone. Need refinishing, and overhaul in general for safety. Chassis has no rust but some dust collection. Got it for $49.95 + tax. The tubes . 6D6 6A7 6K7 6C5 55 6C5 6F6 45 45 5Z3 Also going back next month to find more. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Now where can I put it? | I probably mentioned this, but anyway I went to Harbor freight and Purchased a Roll-around Chest of Drawers, and am emptying all of my other drawers, nooks and crannies of tools and consolidating them in the Roll-around.
I did giveaway a Weston AC multi-voltage meter in need of repairs, just charged for postage for a priority mail flat rate, it weighed 11# for $11. So one less space-taking object. The guy bought it for parts.
I did get some stuff that we are taking to sell such as CBs (8 of em) and I did get HP universal bridge to add to my test Equipment. Tested it on a film resistor and came out very close to value. So I am progressing on organization. Will keep all posted as it happens. _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!

| Right now, about 99% of my tubes are inventoried. Next step is to decide which I am keeping and which ones to get rid of. I have decided that before I can even think of reorganizing the man cave, I need to get some space back. Once I get the space back, I should have a better idea of what to do for storage, shelving, and work area. I'm also looking around for any old display cases so I can put my smaller dust collectors in. While there are some out there, I am not prepared to pay what prices are showing. So, I'll keep looking for now. Like you Cliff, I'm gathering all my electronic copies of books and videos together so I can sort them by topics, etc., then I'll burn em on to DVD's and put them in cases on the shelves I plan to have for those too. Probably along with teh hard copies of books, catalogs, etc. I have collected as well. The fun never ends, does it? |

| Here it is Oct 2011 and not much progress. I did get rid of a GE Hexagonal style floor model Stereo to Goodwill. Worked great, AM-FM w/record player and 8 track add on. Still collecting oops LOL. Made some progress on tubes and listing them. Downloading goodies such as books and schematics. Trying to change most to PDF files and combining those files into book PDF form. Will report progress as I can. _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!

| Hi Cliff, Hope you'll have some photos to share after it's done. My man cave here is badly in need of re-organizing and I don't know where to start. I've rearranged it a couple of times already, and each time I've done it, halfway through, I wished I hadn't started because I'm not happy with the way it's done. I have a couple of ideas in my head now that I'm pondering, and I'm sure I'll repeat the same things I did in the past. The biggest problem is storage of parts & pieces. I think if I can get that outta the way, I'll have the biggest problem fixed. Good luck, Bob |

| Talked my Grandson to help, Removed a electronic Keyboard (75 pounds) so I can line up my consoles, and put my table top radios on top of them, Have one set of Shelves strictly for Portable Radios, Another for both Test equipment, and boat anchors. Then I have to figure out a parts layout scheme. I have so much stuff, its a nightmare to sort. _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!
