| Radio Daze is still in business. However, it now features far less for sale than it did in its previous printed catalog, probably because some stuff didn't sell well enough. Too bad. Previously, they had a fine selection of stainless steel hardware, tubes, chemicals, audio connectors, solid state components, wire, etc. Now only basics.

| I'm certainly not going to stop looking at His great prices. That page is now one of my favorite links. Good Going Dan _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!

| FrankB.--Prompted by you, I went to Dan's Small Parts and Kits. As he says, he has a lot of stuff (mostly for solid state work). However, his site is missing one vital element: an index or search box! After scrolling down endlessly from item to item for over a half hour I never did find what I was looking for. Also, I didn't see any "kits" in the humongous, unwieldy listing. In keeping with your suggestion, he needs to learn how to spell many other words besides "value." |

| I have never bought anything from them myself.
OTOH, another great source of newer parts is Dan's Small Parts in Montana, IIRC.
Good prices and his stock really varies from catalog to catalog. Now if he could only learn to spell "Value" instead of "Vaule", and a couple of other words. (Spell Check??) |

| I'm trying to post by keeping your topic active because some people do get notices by email when there is activity going on. The less posting done the lower our score from forumotion.
I don't want your topic to become ignored so bear with me, That's one reason I encourage others to post also. We need all the help we can muster, to keep this forum up and running.
You presented a very vital topic to us and I also, would like to know the results. _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!

| I was hoping to hear from others who have experience with Radio Daze (note correct spelling; I had it wrong in original post). At one time RD's goal was to be what AES used to be but is no longer--a one-stop source for all things antique radio repair/restoration. Your reply, though welcome, sounds as if I were personally asking you, as I would in a PM or personally or on the telephone. Surely there are others who frequent Sparks-Radio Shack who deal with Radio Daze and can supply some information about its situation today. |

| What has happened to Radiodaze? I used to buy a lot of stuff from them in the days when they had a written catalog. Now, however, we are to go to their Web site. Just today I wanted to find out what they have for sale in the way of an audio output transformer whose ratings would match the output of a 6F6 to an 8-ohm speaker. All I found when I searched "Transformers/Audio" from their side list were various Radiodaze part numbers; when I clicked on any there was no description whatsoever of the item, no specs, and no photo. This has happened before recently with other "searches." Are they on the brink of failure, ready to shut down? Strange. |
