They can be used for a backbone INTRA-net High bandwidth connections with servers, just like wired computers in a building, but they allow much higher speeds. There are many varieties of connectors, dependent on system and usage. Not that familiar with those distinctions though, however you may Google for answers.

I have several s.s. covered fiber optic cables that came from Garland, Texas. What plant, I don't know. How can I use them and on what? One is a Siamese type. In other words, two ends on one end and one on the other. They are useful looking to me, but at the moment I cannot think of what. Maybe for a remote camera. How would you hook it up and so on?
