Some hobby stores may have cellophane that's colored. sheets of thin plastic for model makers, I would think train hobby shops also. I would also think even the Newer colored LEDs may work in a pinch. They now come in just about every color. Even ultraviolet.

Often you will find a dial lamp that is colored (or coloured as our friends to the North say). GC made a special dial lamp dying kit decades ago. It worked pretty well. I believe the media to be a tinted lacquer. Inst. said to dip the bulb and put several coats on it to achieve desired color.
Finger nail polish, model paints, and others may also work. Many car and home stereos used a slip on colored rubber lamp cover. They crack and disintegrate over the years.
I would suggest trying different media, and running the lamp for a few weeks and see what happens.
Some auto parts stores carry amber and red tinted bulbs also, but most are likely not going to be of use in radios and stereos.
