Radio Parts Suppliers Empty
PostSubject: Parts Review: B& D Enterprises   Radio Parts Suppliers I_icon_minitimeMarch 16th 2016, 6:26 pm

The following review is based on my own experiences with this company over at least 15 years of doing business with them. The opinions are mine, and do not necessarily reflect those of the forum owner.

Company: B&D Enterprises

Address: 117 Liberty Street
Russell, PA 16345
Phone: 1-800-458-6053
Fax: 1-814-757-5400

I have ordered thousands of dollars of parts from this company.
Great to deal with.
TOP QUALITY parts, no counterfeit parts. These folks are really anal about top quality parts.
They BACK WHAT THEY SELL 100 %
I order 99.9% of my 'lytics from them. 105 C units exclusively for me also.

They have a huge asst. of types for TV's and Monitors.
Extremely knowledgeable sales staff. No B.S. either.
If I am not sure of a certain type for a specific application, they have always been able to make the correct part suggestion.
Good selection of I.C.'s, STK packs, Xistors, diodes, etc.
( Yes, you can probably find some of the parts cheaper elsewhere, but their quality is top notch at B&D; unlike some other suppliers).
Twice in 15+ years I had small problems, and they took care of it IMMEDIATELY Very Happy cheers 100% satisfaction.
Good shipping to fit your needs, GREAT customer service.
I will continue to do business with B&D for many years to come.
 They are also support N.E.S.D.A.

My ratings:
Parts quality: 5/5
Quality & Service: 5/5
Rating Total:  5/5 cheers

PostSubject: Parts Supplier Review   Radio Parts Suppliers I_icon_minitimeMarch 16th 2016, 6:10 pm

Note:

I am writing a parts supplier review column for this site.

I have 45+ years in the electronics servicing industry.
The reviews will be based on my own personal experiences with the companies.
These are my OWN opinions. They may not be the opinions of the site owner or others. (Everybody has their own opinion, its just that mine is the one that counts! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ).
I felt this is necessary, due to the shutting down of the last electronics wholesale supplier between Portland OR. and the South Center/Kent area of WA.
So now I am forced to mail order all parts, or drive about 2 hours (or more)  each way to obtain my parts.

I felt that others may be in the same fix as I am, and I hope this column will be of help.

I will post as I order from new and old suppliers, and write a review based on my own experiences.

Todays review is:

Company:  Dan's Small Parts & Kits.

Address:
Box 3634
Missoula MT. 59806-3634
Phone #  406-258-2782

I ordered a small assortment of parts from Dan's.
The ordering process was smooth and painless
Shipping was FAST! About a week from the time I mailed my check to him.
Shipping was via USPS Flat Rate.

On the + side:
The trim pot asst. of 100 pcs is widely varied and contains a good asst. of useable values.
Nice asst. of 100 pcs. of Zener diodes also.
The surface mount tantalum. assortment is a good asst. also.
The 500 pc. "Grab bags" (I ordered 3 of them) was surprisingly excellent. Lots of variety.
There was a 7 pin tube socket, machined pin IC socket, MASS surface mount components, Zero Ohm jumpers, ceramic caps, mica caps, etc.
The biggest surprise was that the electrolytics in the asst's. were 105 C rated!!! Very useable values also.

All in all I am quite satisfied with the order, speed of shipping, and the quality of the mdse.

The Negative Side:
The parts/ wrapping /bags all smelled like tobacco smoke to me, so will necessitate airing out for a few weeks, due to an extremely severe tobacco allergy which causes my breathing to cease.

Rating:
Parts Quality,
speed of delivery,
ease of order, etc. 5/5 Smile

Smokey smelling parts 0/5 Crying or Very sad
_____________

Average rating 2.5 Neutral

I may order from him again, but having my breathing start to shut down from the tobacco smoke residue is a big negative for me. Epi pens are my friend.
