PostSubject: Capacitor Values   2015-12-21, 5:04 pm

Good evening,
I am working on an RCA 56X, chassis 1011 and in this chassis there are 2 capacitors that I need to know the replacement values for.
The capacitors are the following, C2 is a 0.035uf @ 500volts the other is a 0.005uf @ 700 volts. Can anyone tell me what replacement values I can use in their place?

Than you kindly!!

Merry Christmas to all!
Daniel

Some capacity values are no longer made so go with what is closest, better a higher value. Same with the voltage.
But do Be careful in the R.F. - I.F. and Oscillator sections as those capacitances are critical, and there are cautions about lead dressings and positions.

He has just about anything you need.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Let us know with what you do.

c2 is listed as .025 mfd not .035mfd 300 V  type c2 (c3?) can be 450V

c23 is listed as .05mfd 400v and can be 450v

the schematics are generic for 56X series, so the parts values are all the same in different schematics of that series.
-------------------------
these are all paper and should be changed to polypropylenes

c10 is .0018mfd 800v
c1,c2,c4 are all .01mfd 800v[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
c7, c11 are  .02mfd 700v
c2 .025mfd 300v this strange and could be a misprint (maybe c3?)
I don't have a schematic but the C2 (c3?) is an odd voltage(maybe a substitute-it should be 300v instead). Just make sure the capacitance is .025mfd

c23 .05mfd 400v
c22 0.1mfd 400v
----------------------
c20,c21 compromise 2 sections 30mfd and 50mfd each at 150v these are electrolytics.
