After two years, I found my power supply. It was hidden between 2 cardboard boxes.
I went outside and strung up some antenna wire. It was about 30-40 feet, it's angle is about 100 degrees from North, so it's broadside reception is Central Europe, around the globe to south east Asia. The reception is a lot more diminished, than I remember. I didn't realize how much noise is present. I did receive CHU 3.33 KHz time station, WWV 5 MHz, Spanish stations, I think a Southeastern Asian broadcaster. About 7 stations around 6-7 total.

During the day it was nothing but static, but starting around 10 pm it started getting better. I did also pick up a Ham on SSB as he was signing off.

I'll have my homework cut out, in making a time vs band chart, and getting a better antenna up.
I'll bring in my Hallicrafters 110 and do some comparisons.

I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!

Congrats on finding the power supply! cheers

I know how annoying it is to try and find stuff like that. For some reason, I think I packed all items together and when I open them, I see I didn't.

You're giving me the bug too. I had hoped I would have my listening post set up by now, but I don't. I do have the top of the bench ready to cover over, so it's a start.

I'm looking forward to see what stations you pick up in your part of the country. Might be nice to do a comparison with this end. Smile
