Cliff,
When I get the new shop area done and the manuals finally sorted, I likely have many of the manuals for your equipment that you need, & could make copies for you.

Progress has been very slow on the new shop area because of life issues and damaged disks in my spine.
I made the mistake of lifting some drywall sheets and really set myself back. Didn't even make any of the local hamfairs this year.

Now I will go through it, It has to be tested then voltage checks done. Haven't had the time yet, it requires a 1Kohm/per volt VOM. My friend has loaned me one, so one of these days.

PostSubject: Re: My Inventory of Test Equipment   My Inventory of Test Equipment I_icon_minitimeAugust 13th 2014, 4:01 pm

I started to Work on my RCA WR49A Signal Generator. Replaced the cut off power cord and hooked it up to my GR-Variac, slowly took it up and no tubes lit up and the darn pilot is blown. I did a few ohm tests to the power transformer and so far nothing spectacular. I did test the two tubes Filaments and there OK. I decided to get the manual off the Web, but no such luck.
At least not for Free.
So I rearranged the search and added a dash between RCA and WR49A (RCA-WR49A) to my surprise the RCA Electronics course showed up. Hmm that's not what I wanted, but out of curiosity I opened the PDF file. LO and Behold a description of the controls and operation AND a Schematic.

I tried to save it and it wouldn't allow that so I tried printing it, In the process of printing I sent the task to a program I use quite frequently Called CutePDF. It asks the location you want to send the PDF file to. So I designate to the desktop. It worked, I opened it up and now I can do a regular save. I did notice also the have a three other Generators listed and discussed in the same booklet..
RCA model 706A
Hickok model 288X
RCA WA44A
All with instructions and Schematics.
This was found in the booklet titled:

Electronic Fundamentals, Service Practices 31(study Group 16)
AM and FM Signal Generators.

Remember how I told you how to save it or print it to keep a Pdf file, you could also print out your own copy, Which I will do too.

I will set that aside for now but I was just going to sell it as Is, but I decided to fix it first, IF I CAN DO SO.

I now have a HP 606A Signal Generator but it needs some work, as the modulation meter when powered on sets @45%. (found info from a friend that it might be the bridge circuit) I will find out later.
Edit- found that may be the limit for output per the manual at higher freq. 01/22/2017

Also When testing the tubes, I found out in the process my B&K 747 tube tester isn't working right, so another repair I Have started to deal with simultaneously.

I would like to get more updated equipment, but those with manuals would be a priority

Edited 01/22/2017

TV- 7/U, I now have, but needs calibration.

An HP- synthesized signal generator with sweep for IF alignment. (solid state) got it now!
Tek digital storage Scope with direct reading frequency, voltage etc.. I saw one on YouTube that had a set of moveable traces for marking upper and lower voltages and frequency being measured.

I guess an electronic load would be nice also.

Some of the test equipment I have is being slowly overhauled, modifying and repairs needed. but without the manuals it slow going.

My needs are few! Crying or Very sad Rolling Eyes bounce

I now have a new work bench, and added some more test equipment.
I showed my new work bench here on our forum, and now I added a Sencore cricket transistor tester. it does seem to work, and I only paid $15 + shipping. I have a PDF manual so I can at least test the power supply and it only has two I.C.s that are very common. It works!bounce
