I personally have no knowledge of how cameras and TVs work but here's a list that may be of help to you.

Also look for tube manuals as they may give clues also, as most have at the back schematics especially on RCA & GE books.

Hello from Belize,
Still struggling with video camera theory.
Can't seem to locate vintage books that explain clearly how the old sweep oscillators control the raster, and how the video signal is added and separated.
Anybody have some early titles that cover just Black & White TV? PDF's would be perfect. Willin to pay..........
