study   HOW TO USE THIS INDEX

The Volume XI, XII and XIII index differs somewhat from previous indexes to the Perpetual Trouble Shooter's Manual, Volumes I to X inclusive.

This difference lies in the fact that certain page references associated with Manuals published between 1931 and 1934 are omitted; also in, that the structure of the text on the page has been changed.

As to use, the Volume XI, XII and XIII index is as simple as the previous indexes. The manufacturers are arranged alphabetically, and the page numbers are consecutive for each manufacturer, (grouping )with a new series starting
for each manufacturer.

An example of the use of this index is as follows:

AIR KING PRODUCTS CO., INC.

MODEL- Page 4,
 23X, 9722, 9822, 9822A, 9823, 9922 .. Schematics, socket, trimmers, voltage 11-1
914 Schematic 11-2
920 Schematic 11-2
X937 Schematic 11-3

This means that Model 920 of the Air King receiver is shown in schematic form on page 11-2, which means the second page in Volume XI in the Air King grouping of pages. The Air King receiver 9722 is to be found on page 1 in Volume XI in the Air King grouping of pages.

The breakdown diagrams in the "Clarified Schematics" section of Volume XII are listed in the index immediately after the listing of the main schematic, thus :

FIRESTONE TIRE & RUBBER CO.

MODEL-PAGE(s)
S7406-7 Schematic, socket, trimmers 12-17
Clarified Schematics C.S. 12-3

This means that the complete schematic of Model S7406-7 will be found on page 12-17 of the Firestone section (grouping)and the r-f and oscillator breakdown diagrams of this schematic will be found on the third page of the Firestone group printed at the end of Volume XII.

When seeking any page remember that the manufacturers' names are arranged alphabetically, ( grouping   ) and that the trade names are identified in conjunction with the selling organization responsible for that receiver. Every attempt is made in the construction of the Manual to list receivers of any one manufacturer in numerical order.
