RCA- Finding the Real Part Number Empty
PostSubject: RCA- Finding the Real Part Number   RCA- Finding the Real Part Number I_icon_minitimeApril 28th 2019, 2:08 am

As a tech who worked on many products initially I found it very confusing to figure out what the actual part number on RCA parts like pots, etc. really was.

It seemed to make no sense.
Well- its the DRAWING NUMBER they put on the parts, NOT the part number.
Yup.  Extremely confusing and made no sense if you went by the part number on the item and couldn't find anything on it to match anywhere. Especially before the internet.

So you had to have the RCA drawing number to part number cross ref. book. (Usually the RCA parts dist. had the book).
This held true for cabinet parts, remotes, pretty much anything they made.

Very annoying- and confusing unless you know. Now you do.
