| Yes Bob on your photo. It looks almost identical as far as the back so now I would have a couple of options. Just transfer the guts. or keep the guts and just transfer the bottom meter case and move my face-plate and dial-plate and front of the meter bezel and glass. Now the question is,Where did I put my HP Scientific Graphics HP49 Calculator with bells and whistles? Hmm, OH! | Thanks Rod, I must be brain addled because I was up till 3 AM for two days so only stayed in bed for 3 to 3-1/2 hours each night. (Psssst! I wont recognize how old I'm getting, as a factor.) | Heres what i got on the web [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Enter the number of inches in a form similar to 3.6785422 or 0.98742563 Denominator desired? 16 (1) Subtract 2, the number of whole inches. 2.863 - 2 = .863 (2) Multiply .863 x 16 to get the number of 16th's inches remaining. .863 x 16 = 13.808 13.808 = the number of 16th's of an inch. This is the numerator of the fraction. Apply the rules for rounding 13.808 rounds to 14 because .808 is .5 or greater. | I tried to measure in place to save removing it. Bob, your measurements are a very close match to my hole. I think (been a long time about 15 years LOL) yours are-----2-3/4" are, so converting that to 8ths of a inch would be 2-6/8". my Measurements are by caliper of the hole as 2.863, so it equals 2-7/8" So its 1/8th of an inch smaller than my opening. 2-7/8 - 2-6/8 _______ = 1/8 my caliper is marked as 0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9| 1|1|2|3......... The dial shows ->| |<- .001in at the top so the indicated number on the dial = 63 Let me know if this is a correct reading? | That Simpson meter should have a 50uA movement. A shunt of the proper value would make it a 100uA meter. You'd have to do some filing on the opening in your RCA tester to make it fit (and re-drill the mounting holes).
A check on my spare tube tester meters came up with (2) 0.5 mA meters and (1) 1 mA meter.

| Just in case this would work. 4 5/8" across, 4 3/16" high. Unfortunately, the round back is 2 3/4". No other markings on it except the brand on the back, Bach-Simpson It's yours for the postage if you think you can make it work. This is the closest I have in my small stash. or a
100uA 4-1/2" X 4" Square meter with the round back of 2-5/8" or less. Or similar.
