Cliff, Currently I have nothing hooked up but have R390, Scott SLRF, 3 ea R388, and no idea how many multiband radios. I listen online with SDR at times too. Still need to get antenna up. Need tower base for Rohn 25.
Had the money saved up, but vet bills ate it all and then much, much more. 2 of 3 cats are sick with different problems.

The one that I lovingly restored. My first old console radio. A Magnavox 153B Hepplewhite.

Frank! Do you have a shortwave Receiver?
19&41! What kind of Receiver are you also using?

I use a 50' antenna laid in the eaves of my house. I like to try for as many AM stations as I can get. For some reason propagation is not that great here near Atlanta. I used to have better luck in the midwest. I guess I'm going to have some time to play around with it, as I am supposed to get rotator cuff surgery the end of the month. There's no light duty where I work, even though I repair portable radios.

If you really want fun and a challenge, the "information" stations at 1610 or there about are interesting. I got one of the low power "tourist info" stations in Olympia for several nights running from Chief Joseph Dam in Eastern WA. That's a distance of over 250 miles on about 100 mw. Not a record, but it was quite fun to consistently hear it for about a week every night. Got it on a BCB receiver and a 50' long wire.

Took the window A/C unit out this morning, I'll need to start hunting up some window insulation film. I'll also need to be trying my luck with the old shortwave. It always seems like things come in better in the cold weather.
