Static electricity on a plastic face has never occurred to me before. Good to keep in mind.

Plastic Faced Panel Meters Empty
PostSubject: Plastic Faced Panel Meters   Plastic Faced Panel Meters I_icon_minitimeOctober 4th 2023, 12:03 am

While trying to zero my  metal moving coil plastic faced meter on some equipment I discovered that the plastic face of the meter can get charged with static electricity totally throwing off the calibration of it. I also have experienced this on some of my tube testers, which totally threw off the recalibration. Quite annoying if you don't catch this right at the start, Embarassed Crying or Very sad
