Frank, I use a password manager for just about everything on my phone, tablet and computer. Aside from having it stored on a flash drive as well as on my system, I also have a hard copy of it printed out and hidden away just in case. I tend to get a tad paranoid about stuff like this.

I have a vision of someday me needing a password and my systems are all down. Even though, passwords will be of no use to me if all my systems are down. Rolling Eyes

WIFI & Cell Phone & Provider change nightmare Empty WIFI & Cell Phone & Provider change nightmare

Well, my old cell fone bit the big one this week. T-Mob said the O/S was bad, and unrepairable. Jillian's had a password, and I couldn't remember it after 7 years either.

So I went to MetroPCS as they offered a free fone, and lower per month costs. T-Mob refused to even discuss free fone after 8 yrs with them.      🐷 🐷

The folks at Metro were good, and solved the "I can't authenticate" problem by having me call my ISP/local phone co. Problem fixed in under 10 minutes. (Like I could remember the modem password after 8-10 years, especially when Jillian set it up. The only way I could have gotten it from her was by seance. Suspect

Got an alcotel 4g LTE fone now. Only thing I don't like is having to manually change from WIFI to cell. With the old Samsung it was automatic, depending on what I selected.

So I got the password from the local landline/ wireless modem provider & am back up & running.

Had a devil of a time getting info from T-mobile to change my acct. Even though by law that they had to tell me. They refused to tell me over the phone, and the rep was unable to comprehend that the fone was dead. As in won't bootup, start or anything. D.E.A.D. Dead.6 times she was told, and still refused to provide me the info. Finally had to physically go to one of their stores to get the info. That REALLY hacked me off!!!!!!!! They are on my"coperalites for xmas" list now. I must say the lady who helped me get it was really nice, and helped above & beyond.
Now comes the fun reloading all the numbers. Fortunately, 2 months ago I wrote all but one of them down. Cool

So write down your password someplace that you can find it. Even 8 years later.
