| You've had a rough ride Cliff, but you've handled it well with the help of friends. Although you still have a ways to go on your journey to good health, I have no doubt you'll get there. I'll say a little prayer for you tonight, it can't hurt, right? |

| Doing as well as expected. I had two surgeries, The first hospital Put in a drainage Stint, With attached bag, what fun that was, especially when I took A Shower, Or went on walks to gain back my strength. Second Hospital a month later removed my inflamed Gallbladder. It was a better experience, Was in the Hospital only two Days. This one went much better and I had Home care of Nursing & Physical Therapy for about 6 weeks, Till I could Take a shower and get around by myself. Today I am up and around doing sorting of Medical Papers and shredding a lot of them. Both surgeries ended up costing Medicare about $143,000. Since I now have the Medicare Advantage Plan it didn't cost me a nickle for Hospital expenses. I met a co-worker at Walmart about a year ago and at that time I had High Coverage, then He told me because of His wife's Medical issues He changed to Low (Standard Option) coverage. It reduced His premium. And Joined Part B coverage, That allowed Them to Select the Advantage Plan at no cost. That's what i Did after that discussion. However I Hit a snag, because when I retired I didn't select Medicare Part B. Since It was 10 years before I gained that extra coverage the was a penalty Of 10% per year of not having that coverage. So I am paying an extra $180 per month plus my health Insurance (Kaiser). Seeing this Enormous set of Hospital expenses. I sure am glad I did take the Part B + the Advantage Plan. I now am getting to where I can now Vacuum the Carpet with the aid of a cane. And never go anywhere without it. I have ongoing problems with balance, but I can now Drive, and go shopping by myself. Last week I was surprised when my Church Members called Me and offered to Help doing the shopping for me because of the seriousness of the Corona Virus. I don't step out of the House for other than getting Mail and setting out the Garbage and trash. I know this issue of the virus is very serious, so I thank the Good Lord I had my Surgeries before this Hit. To all of our Members I hope you all are taking this serious, as one person on the White House staff contracted it and died 2 days latter. _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. | Drug allergies can kill you. My best friend was ill & went to GH. They gave him antibiotics and he had a very bad reaction. The idiots there had no idea what was happening. Luckly, his Dr. happened to stop by & immediately realized what was happening. Sadly, it weakened his heart & system enough that he died about a year later. |

| That's funny. I came up allergic to amoxicillin about 3 years ago. I just developed a rash all over my body while taking it. You're fortunate not having any GB attacks. They are like having diarrhea, constipation and a heart attack at the same time. _________________ "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." — Arthur C. Clarke

| I haven't had an attack but it was infected. They took me off of two medications: A. metformin for Diabetes as it was shutting down my Kidneys. B. Amoxicillin for sinus drainage, found I was allergic to that as well.
First night at home I slept through the night since being in the Hospital. I still have a way to get my strength back. Had my Church Pastor and Deacons Pray and anoint me with oil, and after that I really started back on the road to recovery fast. Funny thing, I was required to Pass gas and Belch while I was in ICU before I could leave to go to general care. When I first stood up It sounded Like a roaring Lion, about 1 minute compressed into 10 seconds. The entire Staff was Clapping. I was embarrassed.

| Sorry to see it. If you have had any attacks, the gallbladder should be a relief. I had mine out in 1992. it took them a while to diagnose it as I was only 35. The symptoms were terrible. I wish you good luck and good health. _________________ "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." — Arthur C. Clarke

| I had a sinus infection, and the antibiotic did me in, found out I was allergic to it, I was in shock & put in ICU. Found out my gallbladder was infected, and my kidneys quit functioning. I am going to have my gallbladder remove in a week or two. So carry On! _________________ I'm a Science Thinker, Radio Tinkerer, and all around good guy. Just ask Me!
