Dennis,
What you are calling the "voice coil" is actually the resistance of the electromagnet for the electrodynamic speaker, I believe.
The  actual voice coil will most likely be 4 ohms or maybe 8 on a radio of that vintage.
You can sub in a filter choke for the speaker field, and a regular PM speaker for the 4 or 8 ohm voice coil.

Be ware though that you are careful to keep a PM speaker magnet away from the chassis, as I ran into an amp that the owner had used a huge magnet PM speaker that the magnet caused problems in the set from proximity.

There are a lot of field winding type speakers for sale on eBay. Many come with the output transformer attached. Just look for one with an 1100 Ohm field winding. Good luck.

You have a parts list? If so you may be able to cross reference to a substitute.

That  usually is not that high of a resistance for a Voice Coil, the standards are 4,8,16, 32 ohms.
Maybe you are mentioning the field coil which has that Impeadance.

I  found a schematic to be in riders volume XI (NO.11) page 11-12
it shows a field coil to be 600 ohms the curious thing is once it shows in the power supply as " 600 ohm Hot Speaker field "
The unusual part is it shows up as the speaker, transformer, and audio output tubes at the top of schematic also. scratch
So most chokes are +/- 15% tolerance
The only thing I can suggest is look at similar numbered models and compare those schematics.

as far as the choke, it has to be the required current (Wattage)it can safely pass along with the Impeadance.
If the choke your using is filtering the A.C. good, I would stick with the Impeadance but increase the current through a different choke.
Maybe other members can help and post here. I cannot find a calculator on line that addresses that issue.
To me the whole schematic is problematic, in my opinion.

Hello to all

I restoring a Delco 1106 that is missing the speaker, the schematic list the voice coil at 1130 Ohms. The radio chassis has been completed and tested using a Hammond 15H .030 A at 1026 0hms, My plate current is .062Amps, yes my test choke is undersized. To my question how can I determine the correct choke for this radio,

Thank you to all for your time
Dennis
