Quick Mod. for Eico & Similar Signal Tracers Empty
PostSubject: Quick Mod. for Eico & Similar Signal Tracers   Quick Mod. for Eico & Similar Signal Tracers I_icon_minitimeSeptember 27th 2022, 10:40 pm

I have an old Eico signal tracer.  I re-capped and was using for the test bench. I also replaced the rectifier with diodes and a dropping resistor.

I had need to listen to the output from a tape head, not having a scope to see the signal.

The audio input of the tracer didn't have enough gain.

I jumped the RF input to the audio input, and I was able to hear the output of the tape head. It enabled more gain for the tracer.

The signal tracer is also great to use an an audio amp on the test bench for quick testing also.
