It seems like all of the antique radio supply house only sell the larger dial cord string.
Does anyone know where to buy the smaller dial cord string ?

Carpet thread, or Rayon fishing line may be an answer. Wal-Mart?

Thanks for the info. I also received a email and the person gave me this link: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] It is .5 mm which is close to .020 which should also work.

Thanks for the help.

I have used Cuttyhunk fishing line for dial cord of the larger diameters.
Its also called "Cod line".

I have a reel of it from when we used to go halibut fishing. it has a woven cloth outer "sleeve" and an inner fiber center. Works great. Really cheap too.
