I discovered someone put a couple tubes in the wrong socket. 35W4 and 50C5. When I switched them the radio came to life.
Now I'm looking for a motor for the clock section. Seems the little gearbox may be seized. It's getting power but the motor won't spin. I'm giving it a soak in WD40 and 3IN1 oil over night. Although I think a replacement will be needed.
If there's anyone out there that has an extra, I will pay for it. Even though it's not marked, it looks like a Telecron motor.filter caps 20231110

Here's a really dumb question that I'm sure everyone will snicker at me for.
When electrolytic caps go bad, I know the radio will have a resounding hum.
If they go bad, will they stop the radio from getting any power what so ever?
Thanks
